It's 3am ..the middle of night. Eric has been up since 2am he can't breathe, he feels like his chest is constricted. Nurses come and take his vitals and monitor him, they are worried his blood pressure is high 151/94- he should be at least 120/90 and his heart rate is extremely low he is running only 48 rate when he has been is running 70.
It's 3:15am now and they have called Eric's doctor, they are very concerned so they have taken Eric now for a EKG and chest X-ray. I asked the nurse what they are looking for and she wouldn't really go into detail she just said his heart rate is extremely low and they are concerned so now they are monitoring him every 15 minutes.
I asked her what they will do if he doesn't get his heart rate up and his blood pressure down she explained they would need to transfer him to the Progressive Care Unit a type of ICU to give him meds and monitor him more closely.
Sleepless night I can't sleep with all this going on... I am up awake sitting by his bed side saying a prayer he will be alright, please let his heart rate come up and his blood pressure come down.
